About
Makisapa is a small publisher funded in 2017, focusing on bringing science to the general public with fun and colored illustrated books.
Makisapa is named after "Maqui Sapa", the spider monkey in Amazon rainforest. It just means "big hands" in Qechua !
About Fieldwork Fail
I'm Jim Jourdane, French illustrator, and I started a series of illustrations about scientists failures - following the #fieldworkfail hashtag. The idea of creating a book with these stories emerged.
2 years later, the book Fieldwork Fail is translated in five languages and has readers in more than 50 countries !
